WE ARE LOOKING FOR EXPERTS FOR PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION IN MONTENEGRO

For the needs of the implementation of the project "Creating support services for residents of social housing and people at risk of homelessness" we need associates with experience in the social protection system and experience in conducting trainings. We also invite interested host families who have gained experience in social housing in supportiove environment projects to contact us if they are ready to share their experiences. We are implementing the project in the municipality of Berane in Montenegro, in partnership with the NGO ZID from Podgorica and Municipality Berane.

24.06.2020 – WORK ON INSTALLATION OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL COMMENCED - "CARE" PROJECT

Aftphoto 2020-06-30 23-16-01er several weeks of heavy rainfall, the conditions have been met for the start of construction works on two facilities in the municipalities of Stara Pazova and Backa Topola, within the CARE project. The project is funded by the European Union through the Center for Regionalism and implemented by the Housing Center. The project will prove technical support to the most vulnerable refugee families to install construction materials received as donations from the Regional Housing Program. Due to multiple socio-economic vulnerabilities, the beneficiary families could not install the material on their own.

16.04.2020 – THE REALIZATION OF THE „CARE“ PROJECT HAS STARTED

BT2-minOn April 16, 2020, the implementation of the CARE project commenced. The project will provide the most vulnerable refugee families with technical assistance in the installation of construction materials obtained from donations from the Regional Housing Program (RHP). The project will be implemented in the municipalities of Backa Topola and Stara Pazova.

31.01.2019 - Final conference of the project "For Each Roma to Have a Home"

Konf icoOn January 31, 2019 in Belgrade, the final conference of the project "Supporting the adequate and sustainable housing of Roma in Odzaci – For Each Roma to Have a Home" was held. 10.12.2018 – THROUGH SPORT TO INTEGRATION

KS icoSport is an important tool for youth integration - it breaks cultural, political and social barriers and helps integration into the community. From the funds of the project "For Each Roma to Have a Home” jerseys and balls for the children's handball club and youth football club in Backi Gracac are provided. The balls and jerseys were handed over to the children and coach of the club, with the enthusiasm and great joy of all.

10.11.2018 – NEEDS ASSESSMENT IN TWO INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS IN BELGRADE

Giz icoHousing Center commenced the implementation of the project "Needs Assessment in Two Informal Settlements in Belgrade" financed by GIZ. The project is being implemented in Roma settlements Antena in New Belgrade and Lazari on Mirijevo hill in Zvezdara municipality. 30.11.2018 – 34 ROMA FAMILIES HAVE RECEIVED THE KEYS OF NEW HOUSING UNITS

O-o icoIn Odzaci, keys of newly built housing units have been handed over to residents of the segregated substandard Roma New Town, which will be resettled. The project was implemented by the Housing Center in cooperation with the Odzaci municipality, within the project "For Each Roma to Have a Home" funded by EU and co-financed by the Government of Republic of Serbia and Municipality Odžaci. The keys were given by the Minister of Transport, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure of the Republic of Serbia

23.10.2018 - WORKSHOPS WITH USERS OF THE PROJECT "FOR EACH ROMA TO HAVE A HOME"

Rad icoIntensive workshops with the beneficiaries of the project "For Each Roma to Have a Home" started in September 2018 and are still ongoing. The workshops are conducted by the local NGO Luna, with the support of the municipality of Odzaci and Housing Center. The aim of the workshops was to prepare Roma families for resettling into the newly built residential buildings and to help them to adapt to new living conditions as quickly as possible.

22.10.2018 – TRAINING FOR COORDINATORS OF SOCIAL HOUSING IN SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT HAS STARTED

Koo icoTogether with the Center for Social Work Odžaci we have organized a meeting with the coordinators for social housing in supportive environment (i.e. social housing in protected conditions) in Odžaci. One inhabitant per each of the 5 settlements participates in the role of the coordinator. 15.10.2018 - SUCCESSFUL BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR FOR ADULTS FROM THE SUBSTANDARD NEW SETTLEMENT

Oo icoWe are very proud that 30 beneficiaries of the project "For Each Roma to Have a Home", implemented by Housing Center and the municipality of Odžaci, have enrolled in a program for adult education. The campaign implemented by Housing Center and the School for Elementary Education of Adults Sombor, Municipality of Odžaci and the local NGO "MR Luna", with support of GIZ  was successful - the school year has begun productively, with a great response from the residents of the New Settlement.

05.07.2018 - WORKSHOP "BIO-CONSTRUCTION" WITHIN THE ERASMUS + "PROMOTING THE MODEL OF SOCIAL SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY" PROJECT IN GRANADA, SPAIN

Gr icoHousing Center members participated in a two-week work camp and community service within Project:"Spreading Community Life Model" which was held in the period of June 20 until 3 July 2018 in Siera Evira, near Granada, Spain. The host was the Fundacion Escuela de Solidaridad, an organization that provides protection and necessary assistance to socially excluded and endangered, primarily mothers with children, immigrants, adolescents and adults belonging to risk groups.
