17.5.2013 - STUDY VISIT TO PROJECTS FOR SOCIAL INCLUSION OF ROMA IN SERBIA WITHIN PAIRS PROJECT

Pairs icoStudy visit to projects for Roma integration and social inclusion in Serbia was organised in the period of 15.05.2013. to 17.05.2013U, within two year regional project PAIRS  (Programs for the Active Integration/Inclusion of Roma in the South-East Europe) which aims to formulate and send recommendations on programming of European and national funds for Roma inclusion based on identification and analysis of best initiatives and practices in the region.

08.04.2013. - STUDY VISIT OF PROJECTS FOR ROMA INCLUSION IN ITALY

In the period from 03.04.2013. to 05.04.2013. Housing Center representatives participated in a study visit to Italy organized by the municipality of Ferrara and NGOs Ce.AS from Milan, within a joint project  PAIRS (Programs for the Active Integration / Inclusion of Roma in the South-East Europe), together with over 20 other participants from 6 countries.

04.4.2013 - DELEGATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT COMMITTEE ON BUDGETS VISITED BUILDING OF SOCIAL HOUSING BUILT BY HOUSING CENTER IN KOVIN

During their stay in Serbia, the Delegation of the European Parliament - Committee on Budgets, headed by Mr. Salvador Garriga Polledo, visited the building for social housing in supportive environment in Kovin, built by Hausing Center with EU IPA funds for 2009, with financial participation of the organization Habitat for Humanity, the Vojvodina Fund for Assistance to Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons and Housing Center.

05.03.2013. - STANDING CONFERENCE OF ROMA NGOS CONTINUES THE WORK OF THE LEAGUE FOR ROMA DECADE

Housing center participated at a 6th Conference of the League for Roma Decade and held a presentation of challenges in the field of housing of Roma in Serbia and improvements reached within the Decade. Housing center was also present when a Standing Conference of Roma NGOs was founded.

21.12.2012 - ANNUAL HOUSING CENTER ASSEMBLY HELD

ico skupstina 2012Associates and friends of Housing Centre gathered on Thursday 21st December 2012 in the premises of the Housing Centre, at the annual assembly of the organization. President of the Housing center, Branislava Žarković presented a report on the activities performed in 2012. and plans for 2013. Upon approval of the report and lively discussion about realized projects and future projects, a cocktail party was organized.

15.11.2012 - IMPLEMENTATION OF THE REGIONAL PROJECT PAIRS STARTED

pairs icoImplementation of the regional project PAIRS (Programs for the Active Integration / Inclusion of Roma in the South-East Europe) officially started in Budapest. The project is implemented by partners from 9 countries in South East Europe and the lead partner is The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service. Housing Center is the only project partner from Serbia. The project is funded from the EU funds (the program for South Eastern Europe), through the Ministry of European Integration of Republic of Serbia, with a total budget of € 1.8 million.

5.10.2012 - SIGNED CONTRACT WITH THE DEVELOPMENT BANK OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE

ceb-icoRealization of the contract which both Housing Center and KPMG as a consortium signed with the Development Bank of the Council of Europe, started officially with the meeting at the Republic Housing Agency in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Construction and Urban Planning of Serbia - State Secretaries Đorđe Miljević, Biljana Matić, Assistant Minister Zorica Čolović-Subotić, representatives of the Republic Housing Agency and seven directors of Municipal Housing Agencies in Serbia.

PARTICIPATION OF HOUSING CENTER IN THE SEMINAR ON HOMELESSNESS IN SLOVENIA

Sl icoWithin the project DOM, implemented by the Center for Social Work Kranj, Slovenia, the Society ProSoc, Kranj, Slovenia, the Association MFS EMMAUS, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Citizens’ Association Arena, Kraljevo, Serbia, on 26 September 2012, a seminar Comparison of Processing the Homelessness in the Region was held in Brdo near Kranj, while on 27 and 28 September 2012 a study visit was organized to the services intended for the homeless in Kranj, Ljubljana and Celje.
