ESVS icoHousing Center has from 05 to 09 June hosted the fourth meeting of the partner organizations in the project ERASMUS+ "Spreading community life model". Our international friends, through a study visit, had the opportunity to get familiar with the work of Housing Center, our partnerships with relevant institutions and examples of good practice improving the lives of socially vulnerable beneficiaries.

Participants of the study visit were representatives of all organizations involved in the project: Fundacion Escuela de Solidaridad, Granada, Spain; Cooperative Sociale Artemide, Latiano, Italy; Organizata Shqiptare e Urdhrite te Maltes, Shkoder, Albania; Ekologichno Sdruzhnie Prebalkan, Sofia, Bulgaria; Mary Seacole Housing Association, Luton, United Kingdom and Housing Center, Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the visit.

Within this study visit partner organizations were able to learn about the part of our many years work in three different municipalities / cities: Belgrade, Sabac and Obrenovac:

Visit to Shelter for homeless was organized in Belgrade. This was a chance for international guests to get an idea of the situation of homeless people in Serbia and the way institutions care for homelessness. They also had the opportunity to visit the Community Center for migrants in Borca, which has been established and operates under patronage of ADRA organisation and International Rescue Committee.

City Administration of Sabac organized a reception for all participants and presentation of local self-government work as well as joint projects with the participation of Housing Center. Ms. Dora Fanelli presented the project Erasmus+. The event was attended by local news teams, so the presentations were covered in the media. During the field visit members of the partner organizations were able to see the building which was built within the Social Housing in Supportive Environment (project conducted by the Housing Center), Day care center for children with special needs under the guidance of CARITAS organization and prefabricated house for family Antonic built within the project "Reconstruction of houses and economic revitalization of the most vulnerable families affected by floods in Serbia"

This was followed by a tour of the new house for family Milanković which was built under the project "Continued support in the reconstruction of houses and economic revitalization of the flooded areas in Serbia".

Our guests also had the opportunity to enjoy the sights of our capital through entertainment and education.
